I’m second generation. It was a lifelong dream to be underground. I’m living the dream.

The brotherhood with my fellow co workers
What are some of the challenges you face regularly in your work, and how do you address them?
Stress, fatigue, anxiety you name it but you press forward and go on. Keep digging
Are there any particular skills, qualifications or advice that are essential for someone interested in becoming a miner?
Be a hard worker and never stop learning. Learn everything you can. Listen to the old men.
How do you see the future of mining evolving, and what opportunities or challenges do you anticipate?
I hope it continues on the same path it is on right now. The biggest challenge will be getting the younger generation to follow in the old timers foot steps.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Spending time with my family and raising and breeding quality gamefowl show chickens.
