I have not been on a project yet that the cross shift was always happy with their opposite. In some cases the cross shift is down right mad, I have to admit I have been there myself but we really don't know what the circumstance was that our cross shift was dealing with.
I personally think it is a waste of time to speculate and get worked up over it. No matter what, once you lay eyes on it... It's your problem period. So do your best to keep a good attitude and fix the issue and move on with your day.
If the people on each shift adopt this attitude it tackles the root of the problem. But it starts with you and me!
