I mean, they are very important when you need to stop right?
I have personally seen MSHA inspectors access the equipment data to see if a brake test was actually done. So keep in mind when a MSHA inspector asks you if you have done a brake test you had better be honest or it may cost you your job. Plus it's just a good habit to do everyday!
