What led you to a mining career?
I am a passionate rock nerd. Going underground and working in a gorgeous deposit & finding amazing specimens beats an office job any day.
How do you stay alert and keep safety top of mind?
I have pictures of my daughters hanging in my office to always remind me to stay focused and safe when I'm working.
What makes or breaks a job's success from your experience?
Establishing friendships with your coworkers makes work so much more enjoyable! Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and learn what they do. Help them out when you can and always go the extra mile.
Hiking, biking, skiing, camping, kayaking, exploring, rock-hounding - anything outdoors, really. Baking, sewing, knitting, gardening, reading, and spending time with my family.
