My brother Jake, we have been friends for 21 years strong and counting.

What do you find most rewarding about your job as a miner?
Pride in what I do. Pride in leaving something behind once I pass.
Pride in putting food on the table and giving my family a good life.

What are some of the challenges you face regularly in your work, and how do you address them?
Everything is a challenge, everyday I'm learning and growing. I address a challenge by working hard, not giving up and pushing myself to the limit.

Are there any particular skills, qualifications or advice that are essential for someone interested in becoming a miner?
Strong back, strong mind, strong work ethic, grit and determination.

How do you see the future of mining evolving, and what opportunities or challenges do you anticipate?
I don't see it evolving much, I will be a Miner/ Gas a tester. I accept that challenge!

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
Family trips, camping and the River. Family movie nights and family bike rides.
